Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a big part of Winner Automotive Group, and Winner team members are often engaged in activities that support our cause.
Nearly a decade ago, The Michael and Ericka Hynansky Family Foundation was created to manage charitable giving and ensure the greatest possible effect for beneficiaries. Each year, a portion of profits flow in from each business unit into the foundation, and then quickly out to several organizations.
To achieve the most impact from the foundation, the focus is limited to supporting institutions that primarily or indirectly help children by increasing their access to healthcare, promoting a safe and positive environment for growth, and for protecting them from abuse.
The largest recipient so far has been the Nemours Hospital for Children, which has received more than $1.5MM.
Mr. Hynansky’s cousin was treated at this hospital for advance cerebral palsy and passed away at the age of 14. The hospital was instrumental in his comfort and care during his life, and the funds were used specifically for cerebral palsy research. Funds were also given to the Nemours Cerebral Palsy Endowed Chair position so that the hospital could hire the most talented doctor to run the division.
Ericka Hynansky is a board Member of Child, Inc. in Wilmington, Delaware. Child, Inc. is the second largest recipient from the foundation. It provides prevention and treatment programs that meet the changing needs of families. They serve dependent, neglected, and abused children, and their parents. They also provide programs to those involved in domestic violence situations. Children are the focus, helping them heal by protecting the victims directly with protective housing and treating those responsible for acts of violence against them with psychological support through monitored counseling to limit the possibility of future abuse.
Nearly all the manufacturers we represent have specific CSR objectives and, as their dealers, we engage in many CSR activities.
Roughly 10 percent of our team members donate their time to CSR causes, ranging from a ride and drive party organized for people affected by Down syndrome, employee blood drives with the American Red Cross, door-to-door donation drives to raise money and gifts for United Service Organization supporting military families, and collection of food supplies for families who cannot afford to provide meals for their families to celebrate Christmas and Thanksgiving.
We are proud of our team members who rally around CSR activities. It is one of the most rewarding things someone can do, and builds a sense of meaning, contribution, and comfort in those who take part.

We are guided by a belief in the notion that that our accomplishments are not entirely of our own making and the humility to know that all of one’s achievements are accomplished with the help of others.
As such, we are especially motivated to give back, support, and help the next generation, our children. The Michael and Ericka Hynansky Family Foundation focuses on institutions that primarily or indirectly help children by increasing their access to healthcare, promoting a safe and positive environment for growth and for protecting them from abuse.
